Sunday Edition – September 15, 2024

Hello, readers! I hope you’re enjoying the weekend and are excited for the week ahead. It’s a great time to tackle projects, be out and about, and relish in the abundance you’re creating.

My grandson spent the night on Friday, which makes for a great start to the weekend. He loves playing with his uncles and Grandpa even spoiled him with a bedtime snack of noodles in bed while I read him a Scooby Doo mystery book about baseball.

Speaking of reading, I went through a four-week slump of books that sounded good but I couldn’t settle into the narratives. Fortunately, I started Mistress of the Ritz by Melanie Benjamin, and can barely put it down! I picked up two more books at the library and am confident that I’ve got good reads to take me through the rest of the month and into October.

We also finished The Lincoln Lawyer – can’t wait for the new season starting soon – and started watching The Perfect Couple on Netflix – the first episode was blah, but the second had more promise.

Every season draws me to the kitchen. One of my favorites is Rosemary-Polenta Pumpkin Muffins from the cookbook A Harvest of Pumpkin and Squash: Seasonal Recipes. Spoiler alert: I’m bringing some to share with my walking buddies this morning.
