Two Minutes Du Jour

The house is a mess, and it’s going to be that way for a while.

We’re in transition as we contemplate a remodel, as one son moves out and the other one recently moved in, and as I never say no to having Z’s boundless energy join us for impromptu Noodle Nights and Saturday afternoons.

So, sure, we’re throwing together a dinner party.

With friends of many years, I’m not concerned about paint samples on the walls or patch work in progress, or mismatched decor.

That’s what Saturdays are for.

Conversations and food will make up for dust bunnies (or Duke’s fur in our case).

There’s no reason not to entertain.
