Today, I’m looking forward to lunch with a friend. Our tradition always includes planning for a patio lunch in the summer, though the weather invariably has other ideas. It’s almost comical how our perfect weather day has never come to fruition, yet our friendship flourishes.
Today’s forecast is uncertain, and while the skies may clear by lunchtime, we know we can’t predict it. But what’s truly on the menu today is conversation and catching up. The true joy lies in the connection we’ve maintained since the early 2000s.
Weather is unpredictable. We can plan, but some elements are beyond our control. The key is to adapt, find humor in the unexpected, and appreciate the moments we share with those who matter.
Rain or shine, that’s something we can always rely on.
