It’s a cold, rainy Monday in April—a typical scene for the Twin Cities.
Today’s Inspiration: “The Book of Delights” by Ross Gay, a poetic journey through life’s often overlooked joys, encourages us to savor delight in our everyday lives. It’s not just perfect for moments of reflection but is also a delightful companion for my upcoming high school reunion’s theme. The essay “Umbrella in the Cafe” beautifully mirrors this rainy April morning.

Let Creativity Bring You Joy Today
Creativity can take many forms, from ideation to unique executions. I’m fortunate to have a professional life filled with such opportunities. However, I believe joy stems from treating each day as a voyage of discovery.
Recent studies, including one from the NIH’s National Library of Medicine, underline creativity’s positive effect on well-being. It’s a key player in life satisfaction and essential for our mental and physical health, boosting happiness and productivity. This highlights the value of engaging in creative activities for a more fulfilling life.
Look Forward to Something Joyful
Finding joy also comes from anticipating the pleasures ahead. Tonight, my joy will be a simple Monday Night Noodle Night with my daughter and grandson, featuring spaghetti and chocolate chip cookies.
Wishing you a day filled with joy, regardless of the Monday blues or the rain.
